The Opportunity
As a Product Specialist, you will drive the product strategy and development of BrightTax to increase revenue, profit, and customer retention while optimizing costs. Maintain a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap to create impactful solutions that resonate with customers and drive measurable outcomes.
* Stay up-to-date and maintain a strong understanding of the Tax software market, identifying competitive trends and new growth opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with customers through research and feedback to design products that meet their needs.
* Build and manage relationships with teams across Engineering, Sales, Support, and Partners, fostering collaboration and mutual success.
* Partner with engineering teams to guide product direction and prioritize features that maximize customer value.
* Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, including NPS and P&L, to continuously improve and celebrate success.
Key Deliverables
* 12-month product roadmap with prioritized features and business cases
* Market and competitor analysis reports
* Customer research insights and requirements documentation
* Go-to-market execution plans
* Regular stakeholder communications and progress updates
* Product performance tracking and optimization
The Person
* 3+ years of experience in a product specialist or related role
* Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance (preferred)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience with product lifecycle management
* Proficiency with business analysis tools and documentation
* Experience with UK Tax software is a bonus but not essential
* Experience in a similar product category
* Proven track record of successful product launches
* Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively, promoting collaboration and mutual success.
