The Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll model emotionally intelligent practice, guide your team through complex situations, and keep safeguarding at the heart of every decision. You’ll be responsible for:
1. Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
2. Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
3. Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
4. Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
5. Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
6. Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding

What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
7. Minimum 1 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
8. QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)
9. Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties + overtime
10. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
11. Experience in CAMHS or mental health nursing
