Mechanical Maintenance Engineer We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and are open to all levels of experience. With a large Engineering team, they are able to bring in a highly experienced engineer or a newly qualified apprentice. Working on a continental shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights), youll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all mechanical systems on site. This is a very large factory with plenty to keep you occupied. Initially youll be predominantly focussed on reactive maintenance. Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. Youll need strong problem solving and mechanical qualifications to back up your experience. Activities will include; Attending breakdowns and working effectively to minimise downtime Performing maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and equipment Identify the root cause of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections Document all completed work using the internal systems to create a detailed log of activities The ideal candidate will have experience in a maintenance role within a factory or industrial setting and strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
