Residential Child Care Worker – 20 Hours

Location: Yorkshire (Pontefract, Wakefield, Doncaster, Eggborough, Barnsley)
* Contract type: Part-time, permanent
* Hours: 20 hours per week, including sleep-in duties as part of flexible rota
* Salary – Unqualified: £13,208 base, up to £15,908 with sleep in shifts
* Salary – Qualified (Level 3 or equivalent): £13,488.80 base, up to £16,188.80 with sleep in shifts
Responsibilities
* Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of young people
* Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with young people
* Encourage development of individual interests
* Participate in activities and provide a home‑like environment
* Work on your own initiative and collaborate with a supportive team
Qualifications
* Experience supporting vulnerable young people is desirable but not essential
* Commitment to working weekends and bank holidays
* Ability to undertake sleep-in duties
* Good interpersonal skills and a positive team‑player attitude
* Willingness to engage, motivate and encourage young people
* Desire to learn – full training for a Childcare Diploma Level 3 or Apprenticeship Level 4 is provided
