Project Manager – HV Connections (ICP / Utilities)
Location: North West England
Salary: Upto £80,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Benefits (negotiable depending on experience & SAP authorisation level)
The Opportunity
We are supporting a fast-growing Independent Connection Provider delivering complex HV/LV connection projects across the UK. As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of schemes from design approval through to energisation, working alongside a highly skilled team of engineers and subcontractors.
This is a chance to step into a senior delivery role where your knowledge of DNO/ICP processes and HV project management will directly shape the success of multi-million-pound infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end delivery of HV connection projects (11kV–132kV).
Coordinate with DNOs/IDNOs, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Oversee site activities, RAMS, permits, and project documentation.
Manage programme, costs, and risk — ensuring compliance with NERS, ENA G81, and adoption standards.
Lead client progress meetings, chair safety reviews, and report on performance.
Where authorised, undertake SAP duties (switching, safety documents, energisation).
About You
Proven background delivering HV/LV infrastructure or utility connection projects.
Experience within an ICP, DNO/IDNO, or utility contractor.
Ideally hold Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status at 11kV/33kV (132kV desirable) – OR strong project management experience coordinating alongside SAPs.
Solid grasp of safe systems of work, RAMS, CDM, and industry compliance.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead teams effectively.
HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical/Construction Management (preferred).
