Lecturer - Biology and Health
Wirral Metropolitan College seeks a part-time Lecturer (21 hrs/week) in Biology and Health for its Adult Education Team.
Base pay range: £30,202 to £41,769 per annum (pro rata).

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver formal scheduled teaching for programmes from level 1 to 4.
* Act as personal tutor or course leader to support student achievement.
* Prepare sequenced learning and teaching materials.
* Mark student work, examinations, and perform internal quality assurance.
* Collaborate in monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating programmes, including work placements.
* Maintain college and university records and follow quality processes.
* Aim for self‑assessment and performance evaluation.
* Provide student reviews and tutorials.
* Contribute to curriculum development.
* Participate in student recruitment including marketing and interviews.
Skills and Qualifications
* Level 2 or above in English/literacy and maths/numeracy.
* Relevant degree or equivalent in biology or related area.
* Recognised full teaching qualification, or working towards a Level 5 award within 2 years.
* Successful teaching experience with post‑16 and adult students in biology across various levels.
* Knowledge of biology and health research methods, theory, and application.
* Demonstrated effective and inclusive group teaching strategies.
* Experience developing/delivering tailored, differentiated learning materials.
