Fraudulent recruiters have been using social media platforms to dupe potential job seekers into divulging personal and financial information.
Sophisticated frauds, involving grooming of targeted individuals, show the fake recruiter asking the unsuspecting job seeker to take part in a fake job interview, either over the phone or via WhatsApp, and also sending fraudulent follow-up correspondence offering job positions. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This Senior Clinical Fellowship in Neurocritical Care offers a fantastic experience to gain knowledge, skills, and experience of working in a tertiary multidisciplinary team. It would be an ideal post for those who have recent CCT in Anaesthetics or Intensive Care who wish to strengthen an application for a Consultant post in Neuro-Anaesthesia or Neuro/General Critical Care. This 1 year fixed-term post offers plenty of opportunities to take a leading role in a tertiary and quaternary referral Neuro-ICU, under the supervision of subspecialty Consultants, and to flourish in all other practical and theoretical facets of neuro-critical care while contributing to this busy but vibrant ICU.
It is expected that the successful applicant will take an active role in the day-to-day running of the Neuro-ICU, including supervising junior colleagues and engaging with the wider MDT. There will be plenty of opportunities for teaching, and quality improvement projects, and a phased introduction into stepping up to daily leadership of the Unit, while always under the supervision of the duty consultants, in preparation for the applicant's future career as a consultant. The role has traditionally carried a very high rate of successful subsequent appointment to Consultant positions.
The successful applicants will participate in twice-daily consultant-led ICU ward rounds, conduct daily clinical reviews of critically unwell patients, and be involved in all aspects of their daily medical care. Excellent communication and documentation skill are required. There is plenty of opportunity for learning and development of skills under expert supervision, while also teaching and demonstrating these skills to more junior colleagues. The SCF will be part of the airway on-call tier for the Neurosciences ICU, paired with a non-airway JCF tier for out-of-hours cover. The SCF is expected to contribute to the Neuro-ICU's clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching programmes.
The Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit is a specialist tertiary- and quaternary-referral ICU within the West Wing, a wing of the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK. The John Radcliffe Hospital is a world-renowned teaching hospital integrating acute and elective services with clinical research and education. The Neuro-ICU works closely with Oxford Critical Care, the Major Trauma Centre, and the Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Specialist Surgery departments to provide both emergency and elective care to patients with intracranial or head and neck diseases.
The Neuro-ICU is a busy ICU but with a strong ethos of learning, equality, and multidisciplinary engagement. The Senior Clinical Fellows are genuinely welcomed, encouraged to bring their own skills and interests to the running of the Unit, and are an essential part of this Consultant-led team.

Whilst COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment at this time, we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated. We will be checking the vaccination status of all new starters so that we can manage individual and environmental risks and so that we can support those who may be undecided about vaccination. If you are unvaccinated there is helpful advice and information at Oxfordshire County Council Website where you can also find out more about how to access vaccination. There is a current Government consultation underway which will determine whether some new starters may need to be vaccinated.
