Based at our Volkswagen business on Dan Y Bryn Road, Port Talbot, you will play a key role in managing the flow of all new and used vehicle stock across the site while maintaining the highest standards of presentation.
Job Title: Used Car Site Controller
Hours of Work: 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 30 minute lunchbreak, 40 hours a week
Position pays: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Volkswagen Port Talbot
Key Responsibilities:
1. The Site Controller is central to managing vehicle stock flow across the dealership, from arrival through preparation to final online and forecourt presentation.
2. Manage the flow of new and used vehicles through all departments, ensuring efficient turnaround times and effective stock control.
3. Ensure forecourt and showroom display areas adhere to Volkswagen and Group brand standards, maintaining the very highest display standards for used vehicles at all times.
4. Coordinate the photography of used vehicles and ensure online vehicle displays are accurate, appealing and stand out to customers.
5. Assist in monitoring advert performance and support the re-pricing of vehicles where appropriate.
6. Support the daily updating of stock control and preparation records to identify process improvements and maintain accurate vehicle status information.
7. Oversee stock movements, site organisation and parking management across the dealership.
8. Assist with driving duties and vehicle logistics when required.
9. Ensure all vehicles meet Sinclair Group quality standards before display or handover.

12. Ability to work independently and use initiative while also contributing positively within a team environment.
13. Knowledge of site control and vehicle preparation processes within a motor retail environment.
14. Confidence in managing multiple vehicle movements and coordinating across departments.
15. Competent IT skills including Microsoft Excel and general stock management systems.
16. A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
