Quality Inspector Annual Salary: £(phone number removed) Location: Oldham Job Type: Full-time (Days)We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector passionate about engineering excellence to work for a rapidly growing manufacturer. This role involves working closely with the Senior leadership team from day one conducting regular assessments and assurance audits across all internal processes, including steelwork fabrication, welding, painting, and dispatch. The successful candidate will have the authority to reject products and materials that do not meet strict quality requirements, playing a crucial role in maintaining a commitment to excellence. Day-to-day of the role: Inspect fabrication work, welding, and painting on the shop floor, with sign-off and rejection authority. Conduct Root Cause Analysis to drive continuous improvement. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and verify final products against given specifications. Maintain documentation and traceability with IT proficiency.Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in fabrication, welding, and painting inspections. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to quality management. Effective communication skills at all levels within a business. Time management, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Experience in conflict resolution and ensuring compliance. Ability to adapt and meet challenges head-on. A positive "Can Do/Will Do" mindset.Desirable Skills: Experience in steelwork and welding (hands-on or inspection). Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies. Financial awareness (CapEx / OpEx) and customer-facing experience.
