Passive Fire Surveyor / Supervisor

About the Role
A well-established national property services and compliance contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor / Supervisor to support projects across the East Anglia region.
This role will involve surveying fire doors, fire stopping systems, and compartmentation across a range of environments including social housing, healthcare, education and public sector buildings. The position requires both independent and team-based working across multiple sites.You will also provide guidance to installation teams, ensure compliance with passive fire protection standards, and help maintain high levels of quality and safety on projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct surveys of fire doors, fire stopping systems, and compartmentation lines
Work across sectors such as social housing, healthcare, education and public sector facilities
Provide supervision and technical guidance to fire door and fire stopping teams
Identify issues and ensure works meet compliance standards and best practice
Carry out minor remedial adjustments where required (e.g. door closers, locks, letterplates)
Record surveys using a digital inspection platform on a tablet device
Work across multiple locations within the East Anglia region
Operate both independently and as part of a wider team
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years' experience surveying fire doors and/or passive fire protection
Background as a fire door installer or fire stopper preferred
Strong knowledge of passive fire regulations, certification and compliance
Familiarity with certification schemes such as FIRAS or BM TRADA (preferred)
Experience using digital inspection/reporting systems (training provided if needed)
Good IT skills
Full UK driving licence
Own basic hand tools
SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)
Positive attitude and ability to work independently when required
