I am looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to work in the Southampton area. The perfect applicant will have knowledge and experience working on projects within wastewater or water treatment.
Role: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Southampton
Contract: Freelance
Rate: £480-£520 per day

Duties will include:
...
1. Managing the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design
2. Collaborate with the construction team to develop efficient and safe solutions throughout the design stages and into the construction phase
3. Develop various procurement scopes
4. Review returns
5. Specify equipment that is required for the project and the standard required
6. Work with the team to ensure a positive work environment
7. Ensure all policies are adhered to
8. Ensure all sub-contractor engineering designs meet required standards.
9. Meet and liaise with the Project Team to produce plans / programs.
10. Ensure the project has the most cost effective approach and this is done in a timely manner
11. Produce and maintain all required documentation
Skills Required:
12. Having a strong background of working within the water industry
13. Ideally have experience working with clean water
14. Knowledge of Reg 30 / WRAS
15. Safe delivery of water projects to time, cost, and quality
16. Be confident working in a team and adapting to more responsibility
17. Experience managing others within a team
Skills Desirable:
18. Ambitious and dynamic personality
19. Experience of working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with experience of large and complex deliveries
20. Someone with a commitment to Right first time
