We are looking for a personable and motivated individual with a keen interest in the Bakery Category. Working with Major Multiple retailers, you will use consumer, category, and customer insights to develop and implement strong joint business plans, ensuring targets are achieved.
Commercial is one of the most exciting areas at Warburtons, with teams in Customer, Category, Marketing Communications, Product Management, Innovation, In-store Sales, and Supply Chain, supporting various sales initiatives and brand campaigns throughout the year to ensure we feed the nation with our No.1 bakery brand.
We have also developed marketing campaigns featuring George Clooney, Peter Kaye, Robert De Niro, Sylvester Stallone, and Samuel L. Jackson. While we can’t promise you'll meet these celebrities, you'll work with highly skilled colleagues who know how to earn their crust!
Key Accountabilities and Measures
* Develop and deliver plans with the customer across range, activation, NPD, promotions, and merchandising to meet and exceed targets.
* Build effective relationships with key contacts in Trade, Marketing, store, and supply functions to support successful joint business plans.
* Prepare and manage trade negotiations, using expertise to influence retailer decisions on range, promotions, NPD, and costs.
* Monitor and report on customer sales performance, recommending actions to meet budgets.
* Contribute to monthly Business Planning, improving forecast accuracy.
* Implement the Category Plan within the customer, working cross-functionally with the Category team to ensure effective execution.
* Previous sales and Commercial experience at the National Account level, ideally within Grocery/FMCG sectors.
* Excellent relationship-building skills to establish credibility with internal and external contacts.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, and SAP systems.
* Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to create impactful PowerPoint presentations.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with teams like Category, Shopper Marketing, and Commercial Finance.
* Good financial acumen, familiarity with P&Ls, and a proven track record of budget delivery.
* Ambitious and committed to personal development and growth.
* Good knowledge of the Bakery Industry.
* Full UK Driving License.
