About The Role
At HC-One, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed Care Assistants to join our Flex Force team. If you’re looking to earn extra money while gaining valuable experience in the care sector, Flex Force offers contracted hours and guaranteed set pay each month, with the freedom to choose shifts that fit around family life or other commitments. Shifts are offered across our care homes in the Newcastle area, providing variety and flexibility to shape your working week. Shifts are scheduled Monday to Sunday and may include days, nights and weekends. As a Flex Force Care Assistant, you’ll travel between a cluster of homes, which is an essential and expected part of the role. Flexibility is key to support the unique needs of each home while keeping control over your schedule. The homes include Kirkwood Court (NE3 3AX), Sutherland Court (NE4 9NS), Orchard Mews (N4 6UX) and Fleming Court (NE2 3AE).
As a Flexible Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. Our care covers Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care. You’ll help residents with their individual stories and provide care that preserves dignity and individuality. Whether providing long- or short-term care including respite and palliative care, the focus is always on delivering the kindest and highest quality care with compassion and care that comes from the heart. Your duties are varied and will include supporting residents with personal care activities (washing, personal hygiene, dressing) and assisting with meals; helping residents with limited mobility; and taking responsibility for the wellbeing of residents on and off site.
A driving licence with access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you will recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You will be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
