Rural Media is hiring a Creative Youth Development Producer. This is an entry-level / junior role (part of the Rank Foundations Time to Shine Leadership Programme, for someone looking to build leadership skills and experience in podcast production and youth engagement).
To apply you must be 18+, currently unemployed or underemployed (underemployed means you are currently working but the job you have does not make use of your skills, qualifications or potential, or it’s part-time role when you want full-time).
You need an interest in podcasting, creative content, social impact, rural voices and developing your own career / skills.
Responsibilities
* Work with the team to coordinate and develop pilot youth podcast productions.
* Help set up Rural Media’s first Youth Ideas Development Group.
* Help rural young people’s lived experiences, creative ideas and stories directly inform Rural Media’s projects, programmes and productions.
The role is funded for 12 months and you will work on project coordination, marketing and communications, creative production (youth voice podcasting), and youth engagement and facilitation.

The Rank Foundation’s Time to Shine Leadership Programme (T2S) has been running for almost 15 years. Each year, Rank offers a grant to organisations to fund a full-time, paid Time to Shine candidate (known as a T2S Leader) to develop their leadership potential, skills and talent within a charity or social enterprise. The T2S Leader role at Rural Media will spend most of their time gaining valuable work experience and developing professional skills within the workplace. Around 15% of your time will be spent away from Rural Media participating in Rank-led programme activities and events supported by the T2S Manager (a Rural Media staff member).
