Project Officer - Children's Services

We are seeking a dedicated Project Officer to assist in the management of various projects within Children's Services. This role focuses on practice improvement, performance, quality, strategy, and service development aimed at enhancing the welfare and wellbeing of children and families. The successful candidate will ensure the effective gathering and delivery of all project requirements, working to improve service delivery continuously.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist with project management, coordinating resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Ensure that projects are effectively planned and managed within a formal programme and project management framework.
* Provide advice and guidance on projects, considering the complex requirements of people-related issues, and ensure key milestones and information are communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the maintenance of project risk registers and assist in resolving issues to ensure successful project delivery.
* Assist in performance management and data analysis, promoting quality practice and service delivery.
* Assist in the identification, evaluation, and implementation of processes, technology, and systems to enhance project and service delivery.
* Establish and maintain a library of documents and information for effective project and programme management.
* Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
* Liaise, negotiate, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including managers and employees.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Relevant Project/Programme Management Training or substantial demonstrable experience in a project management environment.
* Substantial experience in supporting the delivery of projects to fruition.
* Experience utilising formal project management methodologies.
* Strong enthusiasm for continuous service improvement and improving service delivery.
* Experience advising and negotiating with a cross-section of stakeholders.
* Experience presenting information verbally and in writing.
* Experience undertaking formal presentations and briefing sessions.
