We are looking for a dedicated parent to join our governing board as a Parent Governor. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our school and ensuring the very best outcomes for our pupils.
What do governors do?
Governors don't manage the school day-to-day – instead, they provide oversight and guidance for the school's long-term development. This includes financial management, strategic planning, and holding school leaders to account.
What does a Parent Governor do?
As a parent governor, you'll:
Work as part of the board to make sure it carries out its duties effectively.
Bring a valuable parental perspective to discussions and decision-making.
Contribute your skills and experiences for the benefit of all children in the school.

What's the commitment?
* Full Governing Board meetings: 6 per year (one evening per half term, 17:15–19:15 at school).
* Committee meetings: Staff & Resources Committee and Students & Curriculum Committee, each meeting once per half term.
* Additional involvement may include specific responsibilities linked to your skills or interests.

Requirements
* Demonstrated interest in finance and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Previous experience in finance or administration is desirable but not required.
