Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dismantler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling various types of machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to use both hand and power tools effectively. The Dismantler will play a crucial role in ensuring that all components are handled properly for recycling or refurbishment.
Duties
* Dismantle machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools to remove parts and components efficiently.
* Inspect dismantled parts for wear and damage, documenting findings as necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools are stored properly after use.
* Collaborate with team members to improve dismantling processes and safety practices.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risks associated with dismantling operations.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge, with an understanding of various machinery types.
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
* Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy components when necessary.
