Finance Administrator
Location: South West EdinburghContract Details: Permanent, Part Time in
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance & Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in finance and a proactive approach to supporting wider business operations.
Finance Support
1. Manage daily payment data downloads
2. Prepare and process weekly banking payments
3. Reconcile monthly credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Support the maintenance of the Purchase Ledger, including invoice processing and supplier queries.
5. Provide general assistance to Finance Officers with routine and ad hoc financial tasks.
Reception Duties
6. Handle incoming calls for the Corporate Services Team and CEO
7. Greet and assist visitors in the reception area
8. Maintain visitor logs and staff sign-out records.
9. Keep reception and interview areas tidy
10. Manage incoming and outgoing mail in line with office procedures.
Office Administration
11. Provide administrative support across departments as needed.
12. Take minutes for monthly team and all-staff meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution.
Health & Safety
13. Assist with weekly fire safety checks and maintain accurate records of all tests conducted.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
14. Support the Corporate Services Administrator in managing and updating the Association's social media channels.
15. Assist in gathering information to respond to initial customer enquiries and complaints, following the Association's Complaints Procedure.
16. Help promote the Association's work to relevant stakeholders, supporting engagement efforts aligned with organisational goals.
What You'll Need:
17. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in financial data handling and reconciliation.
18. Experience or confidence working with payment systems and purchase ledger processes.
19. Excellent communication skills for handling reception duties and stakeholder engagement.
20. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
21. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and respond flexibly to changing priorities.
