Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is seeking to appoint experienced and forward-thinking individuals to the role of Service Manager within Adult Services and Locality Review Team (LRT). These are senior leadership positions, offering the opportunity to shape and influence the delivery of integrated health and social care services across the city.
This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. Applications are invited from current employees of Glasgow City Council, Social Work Services and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The successful applicant will be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either GCC or NHS depending on current employer.
Adult Services has a large range of services that require to work effectively together in order to ensure that the most vulnerable within our City get the right service in the right place at the right time. We work in full partnership with all care groups, health colleagues and a broad range of partners and we have a key priority in relation to shifting the balance of care across both service areas and promoting more effective early intervention and preventative supports.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the team with a focus on service improvement, performance management, and the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
The role will involve overseeing service redesign initiatives and contributing to the development and implementation of policies that support the HSCP’s strategic objectives.
In addition to the above the successful candidate for the North West Locality Team will also be involved in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
The successful candidate for the Locality Review Team will have a specific remit to deliver a planned programme of reviews for service users in receipt of a SDS support package. The LRT will support phase 1 of the SNA implementation plan by temporarily adjusting its core remit. Following the interim period, the team will return to its standard two-year review cycle for unallocated cases.
The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries, including with acute services, housing, the voluntary sector, and primary care. They will also play a key role in supporting the GCHSCP’s commitment to transformational change, including the Maximising Independence programme and other cross-cutting initiatives.
The role demands excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a strong commitment to continuous improvement and public service values. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and resources, and will be expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct in line with NHS and Council policies.

You should hold a Health or Social Care diploma/degree level qualification, supplemented by additional training, management qualifications, or equivalent management and leadership experience. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
Registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is an essential requirement for this role. You must either be already registered or have applied within 3 months and be registered within 6 months from your start date.
This role is excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
