Salary: £25,466 per annum
Working hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
We are looking for a Case Administrator to join our team at HMP Fosse Way, a Category A Category C resettlement prison in Leicester with the capacity to house around 1,700 prisoners.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Offender Management Unit with administration duties, including generating and securely handling all documentation relating to offenders residing at HMP Fosse Way and all new arrivals.
* Ensure a high level of security and confidentiality for staff and prisoners; treat information, both written and oral, as confidential.
* Provide clerical and administrative support for all areas of the department; effectively communicate with internal partners and external agencies.
* Ensure records are completed to a high standard of accuracy on relevant systems, both manual and electronic files.
* Work as part of the team in an efficient and professional manner, supporting where the business need directs.
* Work closely with Prison Offender Managers to assist with administration for transfers, new receptions into custody and discharges.
* Develop knowledge and skills of the role in situ and through training; understand relevant procedures and provide help and support across the function.
What you need to do the job
Essential:
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* High level skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* GCSE passes in English and Mathematics.
Desirable:
* Excellent administration skills / experience of working in a busy office environment.
* An understanding of Offender Management Unit work.
* Previous experience of working with Offenders.
