Ceto Talent is recruiting for a Sourcing Manager (Procurement) to join a major rail infrastructure organisation on an initial 6-month contract, with a view to extension. Based in Milton Keynes with 3 days per week in the office, this is a senior sourcing role managing multi-million-pound opportunities across complex spend categories. Rail experience is essential for this role.
* Degree in Business or Economics, or equivalent proven commercial experience.
* Extensive sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery.
* Proven negotiation and dispute resolution skills at an expert level.
* Demonstrable experience of contract law and financial management.
* Proven experience driving value from complex sourcing opportunities, including within an OJEU/procurement legislative environment.
* Experience implementing Integrated Category Strategies and managing sourcing pipelines.
* Politically astute, with a proven ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies at executive level.
* Demonstrated experience of agile, cross-functional collaborative working.
* CIPS qualified or working towards.
* Familiarity with PA2023 (Procurement Act 2023).
* Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
As Sourcing Manager (Procurement), you will manage end-to-end sourcing activities for multi-million-pound, medium cost and business risk opportunities, working collaboratively with customers and stakeholders to create and deliver significant commercial and contractual value. You will develop and deliver qualified sourcing pipelines in line with approved Integrated Category Strategies, applying the Sourcing Framework where required, and managing all risk, governance, legislative, and regulatory requirements. Acting as an expert negotiator, you will drive savings and benefits delivery in support of the C&P Director's annual cost savings target, with the ambition to deliver beyond committed targets. You will develop and implement innovation-based business cases to address complex sourcing challenges, facilitate seamless transitions from sourcing to Strategic Supplier Management, and lead demand management and challenge across multiple routes and regions. The role also involves developing external market sourcing practices, continuous improvement activities, and annual customer satisfaction initiatives to deliver a best-in-class procurement capability.
