As a Plant and HGV Technician, your role will be to keep customers’ vehicles and machinery fully maintained and compliant to maximise uptime. The right candidate will deliver an exceptional service of the highest quality.

Responsibilities
Day to day, you will be:
* Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery and heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and other vehicles as required.
* Carrying out PDI works and attachment set‑up on plant machinery.
* Providing mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
* Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hours and schedules.
* Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and ensuring cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
* Working with other departments, including the sales team, to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers.
* Collaborating with repair teams to diagnose and plan repairs for machines/vehicles.
* Maintaining records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
* Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management.
* Providing in‑house training to recruits and trainees as required.
* Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do.
Qualifications & Skills
You will need to be level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus level 3 in plant machinery repair and maintenance. You must be able to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards and hold a current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle and machinery classes.
