Job Title: People Advisor
Salary: £35,523 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Contract: Permanent
Location: Mariner House, Dartford/Agile

About the role
Moat’s purpose is to provide safe and affordable homes that make a real and lasting difference. As a People Advisor, you will strengthen how we support our people and managers across the organisation, enabling great customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with managers to provide clear, practical advice on a wide range of people matters, building confidence, capability and positive working practices. Your key responsibilities include:
* Advising on employee relations cases such as absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance and change and performance management, ensuring fair, consistent handling in line with policy, legislation and best practice.
* Taking a proactive approach to colleague wellbeing, offering guidance that helps managers respond appropriately.
* Coaching and training managers to support inclusive, effective leadership.
* Using data and insight to identify trends, highlight risks, and recommend improvements that enhance colleague experience and organisational performance.
Requirements
What we’re looking for: A proactive and knowledgeable HR professional with strong employee relations experience and confidence to advise, guide and challenge where needed.
* Proven experience managing employee relations cases from end to end.
* Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.
* Experience delivering training and supporting managers and colleagues.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Confidence using people data to identify trends and drive improvements.
What you’ll need
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or proven HR generalist experience).
* At least two years’ experience in employee relations, including change and performance management.
* Good MS Office skills.
* Experience using HR systems (HRIS).
