Job Summary
Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region. We are currently recruiting for a qualified HI CBT Therapist. Full or part time will be considered. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service providing high intensity interventions in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), working with adults aged 16+ within the NHS Talking Therapies service for Teesside, which is part of the Impact on Teesside service.
Main duties / Job responsibilities
The post holder will hold an IAPT / NHS TT recognised qualification in HI CBT, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to work within a supportive, performance-focused service in order to deliver high-quality psychological therapy within an NHS Talking Therapies framework. The successful applicant will be employed by Alliance Psychological Services working within the Impact on Teesside service, a partnership between Alliance Psychological Services and Teesside Mind. Role includes delivering high intensity interventions within the TTAD (Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression) / HI CBT framework, work across GP practices in the Tees Valley, and potential flexible hours between 8am and 8pm on weekdays. Face-to-face appointments are primary, with the possibility of some online delivery in line with patient and service needs.

Safeguarding
* Responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults by promoting the welfare of service users within local policies and procedures.
* Under guidance and support, take appropriate safeguarding action to protect those at risk of significant harm.

Professional conduct
* Maintain accurate records including all required assessment and evaluation tools.
* Maintain clinical registration(s) and abide by the ethical code of the registration body.
* Undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as required for continued accreditation or registration and as identified through Impact's Development and Appraisal system.
* Receive clinical supervision from a qualified Clinical Supervisor within Impact's Supervision Programme.
* Operate within NHS, Impact and professional guidelines and Codes of Practice.
* Ensure a safe and secure working environment and comply with Health and Safety guidelines.
* Adhere to Impact and Alliance Policies, Procedures and Guidelines and promote diversity and equality of service users.

Job Description / Responsibilities (Overview)
The post holder will deliver evidence-based psychological interventions within the TTAD/Impact framework across Tees Valley primary care settings. They will work as part of Impact's Team serving GP practices, hold a recognised HI CBT qualification, and be BABCP accredited. Other High Intensity therapies may be offered, including IPT, MBCBT and EMDR. Flexible hours may be required.
Person Specification
Essential
* Skills in assessment, formulation and treatment of a range of psychological presentations
* Ability to develop and implement focused, time-limited treatment plans
* Computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication
* Understanding of clinical risk and ability to work with clients therapeutically
* Ability to work within a team and engage with supervision
* Ability to work under pressure and promote equality and confidentiality
* Advocate for a new service and engage with health professionals across the care system
Desirable
* Experience in Primary Care Services and working with interpreters or in groups
* Access to transport to travel to locations with appropriate business insurance
* Fluent in languages other than English
Qualifications
Essential
* Postgraduate Diploma in CBT
* Accreditation with BACP, BABCP, UKCP, BPS or other recognised professional body
* Evidence of training in mental health and experience in stepped care for anxiety and depression
* Good record of CPD and willingness to continue
Desirable
* Supervision qualification
* Training in other modalities (e.g., EMDR, MBCBT, IPT)
* Training in Long-Term Health Conditions / Medically Unexplained Symptoms for CBT Therapists
* Trauma Top Up Training
