Lyme Valley Practice is looking for someone with commitment and passion to provide a first-class service to our patients and to work within our friendly clinical team as a Health Care Assistant. This is a full time post of 17 hours to be worked are:
* Friday 12:30pm - 5:00pm
Interviews will be held at the end of November and beginning of December.

Job responsibilities
The Health Care Assistant will work under the directsupervision of the Practice Nurse and strictly in accordance with specificpractice guidelines and protocols, the Health Care Assistant will assist thepractice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmesof patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities include
A range of health checks
ECG recording
Blood pressure monitoring
Wound care
Weight management
Processing and management of laboratory samplesrequested by GPs/Nurses
Summarising of paper records and read coding ofclinical letters
Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance ofsurgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring andrecording
Ordering of clinical stocks and equipment.
Managing clinical waste.
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking andstock rotation
Cleaning and re-stocking consulting rooms

Person Specification
Experience
* Qualifications:
* General education (eg GCSEs) to grade C or above
* Proof of commitment to professional development
* Experience:
* Dealing with the public/patients
* Knowledge/Skills:
* Willing to develop clinical skills and competency relevant to the role
* Able to communicate routine information that requires tact and persuasive skills, or where there may be barriers to understanding
* Able to organise own time and workload and cope with last minute changes
* Education and Training:
* Willingness to undergo education / training for both Practice and Service needs
* Willingness to work towards professional and performance objectives (Appraisal)
* Qualities/Attributes:
