Purpose of the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant role to join our small finance team. This role will also involve supporting wider accounting functions and collaborating closely with colleagues across the business, including the Finance Manager (FM) and external accountants.
Daily Activities and Job Requirements:
· Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate record-keeping of financial transactions
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and chasing outstanding payments
· To process the biweekly payment runs
· Process purchase orders and liaise with suppliers when required
· Supporting month-end closing activities
· Has a confident understanding and working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and accounting principles
· Support general accounting functions as required, assisting with audits and financial reviews.
Collaboration:
· Work closely with all internal departments to resolve queries quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth customer service.
· Covering for Customer Services during Holidays/Sickness and when required
Qualifications/experience required to fulfil this position:
* Studying AAT/ACCA/ACA is preferred
* Minimum of 1 year experience on Sage 50 including book-keeping experience.
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Intermediate of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.

· Office timing – 08:00 - 16:00hrs, 37.5 hrs working week

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
