You will be responsible for:
* Leading the centre’s teaching, research and management
* Developing new initiatives in development and emergency practice
* Representing the School and Faculty
* Building partnerships with agencies, universities and others
* Supervising PhD dissertations
* Motivating staff and students
You should have:
* Significant experience within a recognised development and or humanitarian organisation
* International networking experience in development and/or natural disasters and/or conflict
* Postgraduate qualification in development, emergencies, or any other allied field
* Substantive record of published output (publications, journal articles, well-regarded reports, etc), REF returnable quality at high level
* Record of successfully leading and obtaining research bids/funding
* Significant training and/or teaching experience
* Outstanding communication and team working skills
* Ability to develop and lead research at a high (world class) level
*PG cert in teaching in higher education is provided for those without relevant university level teaching experience.
