About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class in a welcoming primary school in the Morecambe area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with young learners at a key stage in their development, supporting them with early literacy, numeracy, and social skills in a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for Year 1 pupils
* Assist with phonics sessions
* Help pupils develop early reading, writing, and maths skills
* Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement
* Prepare classroom resources and support learning activities
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience working with children (preferably within KS1 or Year 1)
* Knowledge of phonics and early learning strategies (desirable)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
* A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare

Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent – desirable)
* Right to work in the UK
* References covering the last 2 years
