We're looking for an Aviation Environmental Consultant to support Arup's growing aviation business, spanning research, planning and delivery. Our work in this area spans airspace change, community engagement, master planning, aeroacoustics, and research into the effects of noise on people, health and wellbeing, sustainability and policy. The role will be based in Arup's UK Acoustics team but will work collaboratively and extensively with a range of disciplines across global regions.
Responsibilities
* Translate policy and technical issues into public and stakeholder-facing concepts for communications and publications.
* Build and strengthen client relationship management processes to support growth.
* Actively engage with key clients in noise and airspace, sustainability and community engagement, understand their needs, and work with technical teams to develop bids, proposals and new offerings.
* Play a key role in cross‑region business development and project delivery in aviation across the UK, Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and analytical skills, and an inquisitive, research‑oriented mindset.
* Hold a relevant qualification in Engineering, Sustainability, Policy or Business.
* Have a strong research background and data synthesis experience.
* Have expertise in aviation environmental regulation, including national and local policy frameworks.
* Have experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and resources across global offices on complex projects.
