So, what will I be doing?
Manage engineering shift team and improvement activities at the Blagdon manufacturing site coaching and mentoring team of engineers.
Manage asset maintenance team supporting strategic manufacturing capability improvement through Subject Matter Expertise and insight into available technologies and applications.
Working with apprentices mentoring and supporting development of young talent in modern manufacturing technology.
Your responsibilities:
1. Advocate and influence the commitment to people and food safety through the development and enforcement of working practices in line with legislative, company and working procedures.
2. Manage the development and implementation of tools, techniques and technologies employed to deliver reliability focused asset care for out kit and equipment.
3. Coach and mentor others and be proactive in the delivery of the highest standard of asset care through the application of best practice, developed knowledge and technical expertise.
4. Coach others to effectively develop skills and knowledge of new processes and technologies to support sustainable asset performance.
5. Develop diagnostic processes and data integrity to aide and facilitate problem solving in complex processes and systems. Provide subject matter expertise or technical knowledge to identify, resolve and prevent faults and failures.
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
Essential:
6. Apprenticeship or equivalent level of training in multiple engineering disciplines (Advanced Automation & Control).
7. Higher learning qualification in Engineering discipline (HND or equivalent degree)
8. Demonstrable application of advance engineering knowledge or subject matter expertise
9. Previous experience of working with automated equipment in FMCG
10. Developed knowledge and understanding of enhanced asset care
11. Demonstrable capability in the application of advanced fault finding tools & techniques
12. Understanding of OEE of the impact of engineering
13. Ability to develop knowledge in self and others
Desirable:
14. Project management experience
15. Developed knowledge and application of RCM
16. Coaching & Mentoring experience with apprentices
17. Leadership qualifications, i.e. ILM level 3 or equivalent
