Fixed term until 31 March 2029 (Due to Temporary Funding)
Service area: Housing Transportation and Public Protection
This is a new post, supported by the Council and Office of the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner to support work of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP). The post will provide a project delivery element to this work, supporting the CSP Manager and helping deliver key objectives within the CSP's Strategic Plan, promoting community safety and tackling Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
The post will also play an important role in enabling the Council to meet its Serious Violence Duty and will lead a multi-agency sub-group, specifically to support work to tackle VAWG. This will contribute to wider work of the Humber Violence Prevention Partnership. The post will also lead other key sub-groups, including the Clear Hold Build Project Group in Bridlington South.
The postholder will interpret data and use problem-solving skills to plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate community safety projects across the East Riding, reporting on their successes to the CSP and other groups. In addition, the postholder will identify and apply for external funding to support their work.
The postholder must have excellent communication and organisational skills, developing relationships with partners from all sectors who help ensure everyone who lives, works or visits the East Riding, promoting shared learning across the region.
The post offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in our communities, working both in the front-line and on a strategic level.
