The Material Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimising maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, engineer productivity, and operational efficiency within an industrial manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the site maintenance planning and scheduling system to ensure efficient use of engineering resources. Plan and coordinate maintenance activities ensuring engineers arrive prepared with the correct parts, tools, permits, and procedures. Maintain a 2–4 week planned maintenance backlog to support proactive maintenance planning. Design and optimise Preventive Maintenance (PM) programmes, consistently achieving >95% PM compliance. Implement Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) techniques including vibration monitoring, thermal inspections, oil analysis, and equipment health checks to detect early signs of failure. Manage and maintain the site asset register, tracking key reliability metrics such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair). Analyse equipment failure data to support continuous improvement initiatives and reduce unplanned downtime. Manage maintenance work orders through CMMS systems (SAP PM / Maximo / Fiix) ensuring accurate scope, labour allocation, spare parts, tools, and safety requirements. Coordinate work to maximise maintenance engineer productivity, targeting 65–75% wrench time. Develop detailed plans for shutdowns...
