The role
As a Structural Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will lead the execution of detailed structural repairs while coordinating personnel to meet contractual obligations.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
1. Supervise technicians to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality task completion
2. Monitor work to ensure compliance with current regulations and accurate, prompt documentation
3. Perform detailed structural repairs and coordinate personnel to meet contractual obligations efficiently.
This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Valley, Wales. The role involves rotating shift patterns detailed below:
Monday - Wednesday: 07:00-17:00
Thursday: 07:00-16:30
Essential experience of the Structural Maintenance Supervisor:
4. Highly proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, workbook instructions, and technical manuals to guide precise execution
5. Skilled and certified in both primary and secondary airframe structural repair techniques
6. Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising teams within a relevant engineering environment, ensuring quality and compliance throughout operations.
Qualifications for the Structural Maintenance Supervisor:
Successfully trained in an aircraft-related discipline, holding a City & Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent, such as NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Maintenance.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
