The role
:
1. Our Risk Line of Service helps clients to anticipate, understand and transform how they manage risk to their business (e.g. financial, operational, regulatory and strategic), and help them respond to risk events when they hit.
2. Our Banking Financial Risk team helps clients to mitigate risk and respond to regulatory change, navigate compliance and ensure continuity through crisis. The team is looking to significantly grow and scale its capabilities to become the market leading firm of choice for these services for clients.
3. We are looking for a Senior Manager who has detailed prudential regulatory technical knowledge including experience in liquidity (Pillar 1 LCR, PRA and NSFR) requirements and associated reporting and Treasury risk management.
What your days will look like:
As a Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy, assurance over regulatory reporting, remediation and responding to regulatory developments. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
4. Leading teams on large and small engagements - working as part of a project team on client sites and day-to-day liaison with clients
Helping clients transform and improve their regulatory reporting processes including through automation, uplifting controls, and use of generative AI
5. Identifying the impact of prudential regulatory change and supporting clients to adapt.
6. Working on projects relating to regulatory liquidity requirements including regulatory reporting and associated governance and controls, risk management frameworks, policies and procedures, risk measurement, monitoring and reporting
7. Understanding the interlinkages between the pillar 1 reporting framework and Treasury risk management, including Liquidity Management, stress testing, liquidity steering and ILAAP
8. Supporting senior team members through the development of marketing and sales activities
9. Relationship building and networking with clients and internally across PwC
10. Providing input to the debate on development and application of regulation and participating in PwC’s Thought Leadership
This role is for you if you have:
11. Detailed understanding of the COREP and other PRA prudential regulatory reporting requirements and associated governance and controls frameworks relating to liquidity
12. Detailed understanding of the LCR/NSFR liquidity requirements
13. Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex regulation
14. Detailed experience with governance and risk management frameworks and systems and controls supporting prudential regulatory reporting requirements
15. Experience of driving strategic change to prudential risk management
16. Strong written and verbal communication skills
17. Strong numerical skills
18. Significant experience in financial services prudential requirements. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered at the Manager level.
19. Strong relationship management skills as well as experience in project management and/or managing small teams/individuals.
20. Experience of problem solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions tailored to a client’s need.
