Overview
Consultant Psychiatrist – ADHD & Autism Assessment Services. We are looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide expert diagnostic assessments and treatment planning for ADHD and Autism as part of a multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental service. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Working Model: Hybrid (Remote & On-site) / On-site
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments for ADHD and Autism across age groups
* Provide accurate diagnosis in line with DSM-5 / ICD-11 and NICE guidelines
* Develop and document individualized treatment and management plans
* Prescribe, monitor, and review medications where clinically appropriate
* Produce clear and timely clinical reports for patients and referring professionals
* Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, therapists, and other allied health professionals
* Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and patient safety at all times
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ADHD and Autism assessment and management
* GMC registration (Specialist Register – Psychiatry)
* CCT or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry
* Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental clinical pathways and NICE guidance
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS check (Adults & Children)
* Professional Indemnity Insurance
* Fit to Work / Occupational Health clearance
