What you’ll do on a typical day
Maintain and update employee records on the HR system, ensuring accuracy
Support, coach and advise key stakeholders on all HR issues, including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement
* Monthly payroll administration for the site
* Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns
* Monitor and report on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and absence
* Advise managers on handling complex or sensitive employee relations issues, such as conflicts, disciplinary action, and grievance procedures
What you need to succeed at GXO
Previous HR Advisory experience including involvement in solving complex employment law problems, within a logistics background is preferred
* CIPD Level 3 or above, or working towards is desirable
* Good use of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* You’ll need excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence positively, and foster a collaborative, people-focused environment across all levels of the business
