Opportunity

Parent & Family Learning Programmes Co-ordinator (Fixed Term until 31 March 2027) - PKC13038
£41,276 - £45,349 (Whole Year working)
Perth Grammar School


Responsibilities

* Responsible for programme planning and delivery of Antenatal Peep, Peep Learning Together, Peep Progression Pathway and Infant Massage across Perth and Kinross.
* Coordinate, support and develop the provision delivered by the Early Years Family Learning Practitioners, based in ELC settings across Perth and Kinross.
* Develop positive networks with services and other organisations to promote the programmes and facilitate effective referral processes.
* Participate in direct delivery of family learning programmes as required.
* Support to deliver CPD/peer support for staff.
* Collate, analyse and report on the impact of the programmes and support given to families.
* Allocate group leaders, identify and plan delivery according to families' needs, and identify delivery sites.
* Fixed term to March 2027, 36 hours per week, full year, with a flexible approach to meet service needs.


Skills & Experience Required

* Experience and skills in engaging with parents, young people or children and in group work.
* Knowledge of working with children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs; understanding of child development.
* Good communication and listening skills; ability to develop appropriate relationships with families.
* Enthusiastic, highly motivated and able to share this with families.
* Confident in a range of IT systems to create presentations, publicity, and reports with qualitative and quantitative data.
* Evidence-based understanding of family learning and the programmes offered by the service.
* Line management experience.
* Degree or equivalent qualification and experience in Childhood Practice, Social Care, Community Education, Social Work or Education.
* Valid driving licence; travel to various locations across Perth & Kinross.
