Early Years Practitioner The Key Worker is responsible to the Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leader. Duties will include: * Adhering to the Policies and Procedures of Peter Pan Pre-School & Nursery and being vigilant to safeguarding issues and acting on them immediately by reporting any concerns to the DSL. Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. * Working as part of a team * Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs. * Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background, in particular challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed. * Keeping up to date development records and observations * Positive management of children’s behaviour * Preparation, care and cleanliness of the classrooms and equipment. * Providing good role model for Students, Bank Staff and Volunteers and helping new staff to fit into the nursery * Recording and monitoring accident, incidents and risk assessments * Supervision of meals and mealtimes, where appropriate, preparation of babies’ bottles * Laundry duties * Completion of training and training courses required for your CPD and arranged by the Manager appropriate to the needs of the setting and as part of the annual appraisal process. * Attendance at staff meetings as arrange...
