Breaking Brands is an independently owned multisite operator in the UK. We currently operate 10 thriving businesses, including renowned names such as Coyote Ugly Saloon UK and Jack Murphy's Bar and Restaurant. With several new openings planned, we are a rapidly growing business looking to expand our talented team.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of our day-to-day financial operations. This is a office-based, independent role, so it is ideal for someone who is highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working alone.
About the Role
You will be responsible for independently managing the business's bookkeeping and financial records, including:
* Managing purchase and sales ledgers.
* Processing staff and site expenses, company credit card statements, and timesheets.
* Reconciling bank statements, supplier accounts, and balance sheets.
* Preparing and issuing sales invoices accurately and promptly.
* Ensuring compliance with UK VAT legislation and maintaining high-quality bookkeeping records.
* Producing weekly KPIs and ad-hoc financial reports.
* Supporting senior management with management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
* Acting as the key point of contact for any financial queries.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration, ideally within the hospitality or retail sector.
* AAT qualified/part qualified, or ACCA/CIMA part qualified (desirable).
* Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements.
* Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent numeracy skills and high attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritise workload effectively.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with senior management and external contacts.
* A proactive, self-motivated attitude.
