Job Title: Class 2 Driver

We are looking for Class 2 Driver’sto join our busy depot based in Wellingborough.
1. Contracted to 40 hours per week
2. Will require weekend working as part of a rota
Shift start times available: 06:00am
£16.48 p/h basic pay
£2.47 p/h premium for hours worked between 18:00-06:00
£1.86 p/h premium for hours worked between Friday 22:00-Sunday 22:00
Our depot operates 24 hours per day / 7 days per week including weekends and bank holidays, so it is essential that you are flexible.
You will be delivering products to national supermarkets and convenience stores. Products will be in cages so cage manoeuvring is required, it is therefore essential that applicants can carry out these duties.
What we expect from our Drivers:
3. Ownership for the safe and timely delivery of our customers’ products.
4. Securing caged loads and carrying out its transfer from depot to store.
5. Operation of point of delivery technology, the completion of driver checks and documentation.
6. Carrying out multi-drops within depot region.
7. Adhering to Driving legislation and professional competence standards.
8. Undertaking professional development.
9. Investing in our award-winning health and safety standards
10. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
11. A team player with a proactive approach to solving problems
Experience and Qualifications:
12. Must hold a valid Class 2 Licence
13. Must hold a valid DCPC Card
14. Must hold a Digi Card
15. Must not have more than 6 points on your licence
16. Previous experience in temperature controlled food transportation is an advantage
17. Previous experience in multi drop deliveries using a tai lift is an advantage
18. Working with vehicles fitted with driver telematics
19. A flexible approach to working patterns and start times to meet business needs
20. Motivated and committed with high personal and professional standards
21. Possess excellent communication skills, understands and follows both verbal and written information.
