We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team to work in mainstream Secondary schools and SEN provision. This role involves working closely with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment. You could be working on a 1:1 or group basis, depending on the requirements of the school.
Your new role
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils, some with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning strategies.
* Support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional/behavioural challenges.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience working with children
* Experience working with SEN pupils (in a school or similar setting) is desirable
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
