Student Support Role - Lead Learning Manager.
Grade 10, NJC SCP 26 - 29 - Actual salary £31,417 to £36,124 (FTE £33,890 - £38,626)
Hours: 37 hrs, 39 weeks (pro rata)
Start Date: September 2025 until August 2025
Outwood Academy Ripon has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Learning Manager. You will be required to support learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring to maximise student attainment.
You must have the ability to work with students and have a real interest in the issues faced by the students. You will monitor and support all students in the year group, both academically and behaviourally. You will work closely with the Inclusion Co-coordinator and the Leadership Team on improving student behaviour, attendance and outcomes. Day to day, you will work with students to help them to be the best they can be. In addition as Lead Learning Manager there will be further responsibility as stated in the job description such as; acting as the Safeguarding Deputy Designated Lead dependent upon the needs of the academy, to act as the Child Protection strategic and operational lead in relation to all child protection issues dependent upon the needs of the academy, to maintain all records pertaining to child protection issues, actions and resolutions, to support as the Looked After Children Co-ordinator (SLT), working closely with the Local Authority LAC Team and to ensure all TPEPs/EPEPs are completed and quality assured within the Local Authority LAC timelines.
The successful candidate must be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and be able to lead by example are essential. You will be required to deal with students, parents and outside agencies in a professional, prompt and confidential manner.
