Our client, a highly regarded, forward thinking CA Firm, with a supportive, friendly culture, seeks to recruit a suitably qualified Accountancy Supervisor join their Accounts team, who has both the experience and drive to assist the firm in its continued controlled growth.
**Some experience or exposure to doing accounts review and ideally vat return review is required along with broad current/recent UK Accountancy Practice firm background**
Reporting to Manager and Directors, this broad role offers the opportunity to build long lasting relationships and work in close liaison with your clients as an all round Business Advisor and main client contact for many clients and key team member.
IDEAL PERSON:
This role will suit a qualified AAT, part qualified/finalist ACCA or Qualified by Experience individual with several years UK Accountancy Practice firm experience/background, with an enthusiastic, client and team focussed ' can do' approach and a desire to self develop.
Individuals at finalist level, looking to qualify soon will happily be considered and offered study support through their exams to qualify, if desired, as well as any newly qualifieds seeking a fresh challenge.
Day to day duties-
· Review and preparation of year end accounts/ financial statements as allocated for mainly small, medium sized and omb ltd companies and vat return reviews
· Responsibility for overseeing and monitoring all company secretarial matters and assisting junior team members with this
· Main client contact on many clients
· Assist directors, accounts manager and senior tax manager on any matters as required
· Preparation of technical or complex accounts
· Business advisory work, including technical and software support for clients
· Produce both technical and topical articles to raise both own profile and firm’s profile
· Review client ledgers as allocated, monitoring budgets and invoicing
· Training and support junior team members
· Support the firm on AML matters
· Support the integration of new software into the firm
Other duties-
· Attend professional development/networking opportunities
· Support accounts manager on technical matters and assist the senior team in decision making
· Cover the work of the Accounts manager when they are unavailable
