We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a General Manager for our established client based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The General Manager will take primary responsibility for leading the Stoke-on-Trent site, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the business achieves its strategic, financial, and performance goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational & Strategic Leadership Team Leadership & People Management Financial & Commercial Oversight Production & Supply Chain Management Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Customer Focus & Cross-functional Collaboration PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential: * Proven experience in a senior leadership role within manufacturing or a related operational environment. * Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, and drive performance improvement. * Strong commercial awareness with budget and P&L management experience. * Skilled in operational strategy, planning, and execution. * Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills. * Knowledge of H&S, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices. Desirable: * Extensive experience of working in manufacturing industry. * Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies. * Professional qualifications in operations, engineering, or management.
