Base pay range
Customs Analyst
Up to £37,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester City Centre. Hybrid: you will work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and coming into the office once a week and as the business requires. (Our hybrid working policy provides more details.)
What you’ll do
* Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on customs clearance
* Investigate trade agreements, import/export requirements, and product classifications
* Lead audits, enquiries, and customs-related projects to ensure compliance
* Provide first-line assurance of customs activity and cover for the Team Leader when needed
* Support business changes by identifying customs impacts, risks, and opportunities
* Communicate technical customs guidance clearly across all levels of the business
* Continuously improve internal customs processes and manage SOPs for agents and suppliers
* Act as Deputy to the Customs Manager and support wider business projects
This role would suit people who have
* Strong working knowledge of customs legislation
* A solid understanding of commercial and logistics operating models
* Experience in compliance roles and managing compliance risks
* Proven ability in process improvement and change management
* Excellent relationship management and communication skills
