The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Technicians and the Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technician.
The role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and compliance with site and industry regulations, including ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP.
You will be responsible for delivering maintenance tasks safely and promptly, working closely with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Accountabilities: Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld during all maintenance activities, including breakdowns, PMs, compliance work, and defect management. Manage work orders within the CMMS system.
Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team daily, including assigning work, reviewing work packs, ensuring RAMS adequacy, and documenting work completion.
Handle timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary issues, and deputize for the Maintenance Manager as needed.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to develop and execute maintenance schedules, contribute to root cause analyses, and follow up on improvement actions.
Provide first-line troubleshooting for mechanical faults and support continuous improvement initiatives.
SHEQ
Ensure all environmental, health, and safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks. Promote a safety-first culture and report incidents and safety improvements.
Equipment Management
Ensure timely completion of PMs and compliance work orders. Supervise and instruct the Mechanical Technicians, support projects and changeovers, and coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and future PM planning.
