This is an incredible opportunity to support children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), acquired brain injuries, mobility impairments, and a range of complex physical and learning needs. The Role As a Teaching Assistant / Support Worker, you will play an essential role in helping pupils access learning, build independence, and achieve their individual goals. Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other professionals, you will provide both educational support and personal care within a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Supporting pupils in the classroom and adapting activities to meet individual learning needs Assisting with sensory-based learning, communication methods, and structured routines Providing personal care, including feeding, changing, and toileting support Supporting pupils with physical disabilities and mobility needs, including the use of specialist equipment and hoists (full training provided) Encouraging independence, social interaction, and essential life skills Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Helping create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive What We're Looking For Caring, patient, and empathetic individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs An interest in working within education, care, or specialist support settings Confidence in providing personal care or a willingness to learn A proactive and resilient approach to supporting children with complex needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Reliability, enthusiasm, and a commitment to making a positive impact Previous experience in an SEN, healthcare, or care setting is beneficial but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
