Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance

About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading construction and infrastructure contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a major project based in Cumbria.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile infrastructure scheme, supporting the project team in delivering strong commercial performance across live works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, valuations, forecasting and contract administration while ensuring commercial risks are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial resources to maximise project profitability and contract performance
* Produce and submit valuations, claims and commercial reporting information
* Monitor and forecast project costs and financial performance
* Assess and manage commercial and contractual risks
* Support effective contract control and commercial administration
* Maximise cash flow through accurate measurement and valuation of works
* Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
* Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting documentation
Requirements
* Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline
* Previous experience in a commercial role within construction or infrastructure
* Experience working for a main contractor within transportation or civil engineering projects desirable
* Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration
* Excellent communication and organisational skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
* Full UK driving licence
