The Opportunity
Activus Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and internationally recognised engineering organisation to appoint a Production & Quality Assurance Engineer to support continued growth within their manufacturing and technical operations.
This is a key role within a specialist production environment, focused on ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and product integrity across the manufacture and release of lifting equipment and associated components. The successful candidate will play a central part in supporting production efficiency while maintaining rigorous quality assurance processes and industry compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily production activities, including inspection and release of lifting equipment and associated components

Carry out in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet technical specifications and quality standards
*
Work closely with production teams to maintain build quality throughout the manufacturing process
*
Assist in resolving production issues relating to design, materials, or manufacturing methods
*
Identify non-conforming products and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
*
Support internal and external audits and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
*
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, sales, engineering, and inventory teams
*
Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
Candidate Profile
*
Proven experience within a production, quality assurance, or engineering role, ideally within lifting equipment, mechanical engineering, or a related sector
*
Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach to quality and compliance
*
Understanding of powered lifting equipment is advantageous but not essential; full technical training will be provided
*
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
*
Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
