Job Summary
Cardiff and Vale Public Health Team Food is recruiting a dynamic individual to take up the role of Food Sense Wales Programme Manager. This senior strategic position leads Food Sense Wales’ work influencing how food is produced and consumed in Wales. Detailed knowledge and experience of food systems is essential.
Main Duties
You will provide specialised advice and expertise on development of strategy, policy and practice in relation to the food system across Wales, and coordinate and deliver key programmes of work.
Contribute to national level advisory groups, build relationships with statutory and third‑sector organisations across the UK and beyond.
Lead, plan, implement and evaluate projects and programmes within Food Sense Wales to improve access to healthy, sustainable and affordable food across Wales. Manage the relevant budgets held by Food Sense Wales and overseen by the Steering Group.
Provide professional leadership and management of staff and resources, including line‑managing the Food Cardiff Sustainable Food Places Co‑ordinator.
